Why do most people say no here? The first humans lived in Africa, and light skin was an adaptation when people migrated.
The first humans lived in Africa. That doesn't mean they looked like modern Africans. We have no idea what skin color or what features they really had or if we can put them in a particular race the way we do it today. Their skin may have been darker or lighter than Africans we do not know. Its true that light skin is an adaptation. But we do not know who the original africans are supposed to be like. I mean if we believe in the theory then modern Africans as well as modern Europeans and modern Asians all derived from that original human. But that DONT mean that some races are MORE evolved than others. The various race groups are just more ADAPTED to the specific region/climate they went to and then stayed the same for a while because of breeding in the same group and isolation and little changes in the climate. The thing is today the climate is not the same as the ice age time anyway. And it doesn't matter as much because we developed technologies and houses that allow anybody to live anywhere he likes practically. The only problem is if there is global warming. If that is true then the climate of every continent is gonna change from what it was before anyway so people who live there are not going to be always adapted to the new climate anyway. So at this point the whole evolution/race connection is moot.

It's CALLED a simian shelf, and Negroes tend to have it...
Its called bull shit and YOU have it.
People tend to look at "Humans originated in Africa" and see "We're all Black!!!"
We all share a common ancestor. We all share 99.8% of our DNA. Got a problem with that?
Noah A. Rosenberg and Jonathan K Pritchard, geneticists formerly in the laboratory of Marcus W. Feldman of Stanford University, assayed approximately 375 polymorphisms called short tandem repeats in more than 1,000 people from 52 different groups in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. By looking at varying frequencies of these polymorphisms, they were able to distinguish five different groups of people whose ancestors were typically isolated by oceans, deserts or mountains: sub-Saharan Africans; Europeans and Asians west of the Himalayas; East Asians; inhabitants of New Guinea and Melanesia; and Native Americans. They were also able to identify subgroups within each region that usually corresponded with each member's self-reported ethnicity. (Michael J. Bamshad and Steven E. Olson. Does Race Exist? Scientific American [November 10, 2003])
Approximately 93% of human genetic variation occurs between two people in the same race - 85% between two people of the same ethnic group and another 8% between ethnic groups within a race. That leaves only 7% of variation between the major human races. (Lewontin, 1991)
All populations have people who are taller and shorter, fatter and thinner, braver and more timid, introverted and extroverted, more decisive and more dithering. There is no continent of uniformly brunette people to contrast with one of uniformly blond people, or of uniformly tall people to contrast with one of uniformly short people. The traits that differentiate Swedes and Kenyans at the racial level are actually a very small proportion of the differences detectable, which are distributed primarily among members of the same population and between populations on the same continent. (Marks, 2003)
http://www.genomicseducation.ca/informationArticles/society/genomics_race.asp There is MORE genetic VARIATION between ppl of the SAME race than ppl of different race that are built about the same.

I think we evolved from a kind of prototype-esque kind of people who resemble the black people of today. Those people stayed in Africa, and certain genetic stuff I don't know too much about went on and voila.
