Alright, so... there has been one staff here that is now being fired. She wasn't able to make her own decisions, ultimately leading to at least 1-2 phone calls per day on what to do, for things that she needs to use her OWN judgement for. Likewise, she's also the same staff that called me at 8:30am to ask me what time her shift started, when it STARTS at 8:30am, just like it had for the past two months she worked here. There's several other things, but I won't go into it. I feel bad she's leaving, she's a nice person, but not suitable for the job. Either way... a new staff is coming in, and she will be coming with me on my shift to see how it goes. However, my roommate put in the mention that the staff should also get a full shift worth of shadowing, on the typical weekday, to get the general routine as well (I only work for about 5 hours).
So... what does our coordinator say (the person in charge of these things?). Oh... well, then I can get the one we're going to fire to work one more day and the new staff can learn from her.
What? You're FIRING the girl because she doesn't know how to do her job, and before you fire her, you decide that she should teach the new staff? How does that make any sense...
