(or with anyone in general for that matter) (And you'll have to excuse the generalization here, but for the most part, it's pretty true.)

It's impossible to have a debate on LW because everyone so emotionally attached to their opinions that they completely disregard basic logic if it doesn't coincide with their belief.

Honestly, most of us won't change our ideas even when common sense is shoved in our faces when we're having a debate. So what the point? To get angry over the internet?

If you actually listen to both sides of a debate and man up to admitting someone else is right(or maybe even just giving credit to the opposition's good ideas), I commend you.
