Transfer Trouble

I went to school in Dallas, TX at a really really good school and I did really well academically but I had so much trouble with my roomate and I flipped out all the time and stressed beyond belief the entire time.  So I told my parents that I was transferring out to a community college...  They said it was okay but now that I've been there 2 weeks and had my first exam (which I studied 20 min for and aced) they think the school is way too easy and I should go back to the other school and I don't know what to do...  I don't want to go back but I don't want to be an idiot my entire life either.  I'm so frustrated and I just can't deal with this anymore!

Just make sure you get a better roommate or your own room.  Any off campus housing available?  Keep up the good work, too.

Why not just finish the year at the CC then transfer to a different school?

Well, you could finish the year.

I do have one thing to say though... in your life, you are going to meet MANY people that will piss you off to no end.  It sucks more when you have to live with them, but hopefully that isn't something that happens too often.

Don't let someone ELSE cause you to change your entire life just because you can't stand their behavior.  I don't know the situation in your school, but it may have been possible to speak with an RA, or someone in charge of rooming to let them know the problem (and see if that would make a difference).

It's your choice, at the end of the day... but I think that if they only thing keeping you back from going to a much better school is one person, then I think that's a bad way to go, personally.

Do what you need to do to be happy... if you're going to look back later in life and regret going to a community college, then I would say go back to your old school.  Of course... that being said, would they still reaccept you back into your old school since you transfered out once?
