I had never heard of this before and wasn't sure if others have had to do this before.

I was planning to write a letter, but I've forgotten to do it. Feels kind of guilty for not doing it.

I didn't have to. Mine came directly from the university so I don't know if that changes things.

Mine comes from the university too.  But later in the year, they split those scholarships up into different ones.  So now it's coming from an organization of some kind.

Oh I see.
Well, on second thought, maybe writing a thank you letter is expected, but I never even thought about it. Or got told to. So I hope not.

Oh I see.

My school e-mailed me.  And put in that if I wanted to continue receiving aid, I should send a thank you.  I don't know if they would actually not give me aid for not saying thank you... but they put something that sounded like that in there, lol.
