Hey, I'm completely new to this site and this is my first post and i need some advice. I'm 16 (a guy) and I think I'm a bit depressed over my own sexuality. I don't want to be gay, and I seem to like women at the same time. My parents are "gay haters" and are against gay rights and such, but they have idea that i'm gay and I'm afraid that if they find out they might disown me. My sister had some sex problems and my parents kicked her out as soon as she turned 18. I can't deal with my life this way and none of my friends (if u could even call them one) will listen to my problems. i'm not suicidal or anything but I just want to find out if other guys have the same problem too...I'd be fine with the way I am, its just that my parents are strong Christians and they hate anyone who disagrees with their religion. What can I do? i so f***ing hate my life now and I just want to start over. What am i gonna tell them?? I can't hide it forever. Its weird because no one would probably even guess that I have homosexual thoughts. I'm in sports I've got good grades, I look and talk normal...can anyone help me?? I've got so many problems that I feel strange trying to type this in to a forum, but maybe this is where I can get my advice. Theres no way I could get advice from my parents...they hardly even talk to me sometimes...I'm the only kid at home and my parents are busy with themselves to even think about my problems...i'll try and reply if anyone has questions, I'll check my email tonight so I can keep u all posted...thx.

christians are really hypocrites, they say to be tolerant of other peoples "ignorance" but yet they arent, but theres not really much to do... i mean your a kid, its not wrong to be gay or bi, but if your parents are strong christians then really theres nothing you can do... at least in what i think...

First of all, welcome! I'm sure there are tons of guys with the exact same problem on this site. Maybe you should talk to your parents, they're going to find out sooner or later. Maybe you're just bi? We can't be the ones to decide YOUR sexuality. Just decide which gender (or both) that you're attracted to, but you can take your time... maybe it's just a phase? It happens to everybody.

i was confused for a while too about my sexuality. But you really dont need to call yourself anything. If anyone asks, just say that you like who you like. That's what I do. As for the parent thing, well I've been there too. When my mom found out she called me everything she could think of and it still hurts to this day. Nothing can ever erase pain like that. If I were you, I would keep in the closet until you move out. Only tell a few close friends. I know it seems difficult, but you dont want your parents to disown you or kick you out.

If your bible-fucking parents throw you out of the house, report them to the authorities for child neglect. Because until you're 18, gay or straight, they're legally responsible for your wellbeing unless you get yourself emancipated.
