How come a TON of older women talk really loud on the phone?
My mom does, and a few other people I know do..

Because they think they have to yell for you to hear them. Or maybe their hearing is bad. Or maybe old phones were hard to hear into, so they are used to that.

My mom does too. What really pisses me off is if someone is on the cell phone and losing reception, and they feel the need to yell 'CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW' as loud as possible.
