I do not plan on going to college.  No doubt they'll be a bit suprised, I'm a straight A and top of my class.  I just fell diferently about the world than what is the social norm.

So, how do I start the converstaion, when & where is a good time? things like that.  Have you done it?  I'm only going to be a junior this year, so i have lots of time...

Well.. I mean, how do you know? You're only a junior. You could still change your mind.

And what do you want to do if you don't go? I'm just curious.

I am sure you might change your mind once your senior year arrives. Many students go through the phase of not sure if they will go to College or not once they graduate, and then when the time comes they find themselves changing their mind and applying. I mean, if you are straight A and top of the class, why waste your time not going? It makes no sense for a smart person like you to not go to College and all, ecpesially if you are top of the class, you can do so much etc...
Anyway, just tell your parents straight out that you are not interested in College, and it's a choice you are making and they can either accept it, or not. Most likely they are going to get upset and try to talk you into considering going, it's normal for parents to do that. But you have to be serious and let them know it's something you've already decided.q

I can tell that you're at the top of your class because you "fell diferently" about the world.

Must be an impressive class.

Have fun getting a good job.
You can get a good job without a College degree, you just have to know where to look and all. There are people who don't have College degrees that are making good money as with a person that has an associated degree. Just because one doesn't go to College, does not mean he/she cannot hold a good paying job.

I've gotten boat loads of letters already from them, so its always on our minds basically.  They currently think I plan on being a chemical engineer, leaning towards vt.

"...getting a good job"
Thats the point, i don't want a job.  Ever.  I will take my car and go where i please.  Possibly try getting to europe and hitchhiking around there.  I do not plan on being a little robot who is never truly happy untill i turn 60.  I want freedom in the absolute, what everyone should have
