take a depression test, depression varries it would be useless and hopeless to tell you anything of what it's like, you dont just think you're depressed, it works a little different hunn. sorry!

I had/have Depression and I was, more or less, sad all the time. It's not something that lasts a day or two, it lasts a lot longer than that and seriously affects your ability to function properly. It messes with your sleeping habits, eating habits, etc. It can even make you physically sore. I'd also experience moments of total numbness. At one point, I'd even forgotten what it meant to be truly happy because every moment I thought was happy was fleeting and consequently hard to define and capture.

Honestly, I'm still not sure what it means to be happy, those moments still seem to be too short and I've always wondered if that's what true happiness is or if I'm still not quite grasping it.

You do realize that depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar, manic-depression, etc, dont define a person.

Someone can not "be" any of those things.

They can have one or more of those. They can struggle with one or more of those. They can deal with one or more of those. They can not "be" any of those.
