Think yourself lucky if you have parents with modern values and are not old-fashioned poke a stick traditional parents who are almost your grandparents.

It doesn't stop there it's the overflow in society as well.
These people do not want to treat others as equal. They go on age, status and how you speak and act. They are uppity and close-minded and need to get with the times and I don't mean learning how to use the internet.

" We are just different, face it and don't try to compromise. Just respect that's all you can do. "  Well, from what I gather, that's pretty much what the boomers said about their parents.  Change is inevitable, though. They should realize it since they all went through it.  Weren't the boomers the ones that were into free sex, drugs, anarchy, music and no bras? Hmmmmm - and look how they turned out. (baaad flash - picture your mom dancing topless at a rock concert with flowers in her hair! No, on second thought, don't!!!) What's our furture, I wonder.

It seems that I don't have to ask a question if I already know the answer.

exactly.

they seem to forget how it was for them. they just want to repeat how their parents were to them for safety and security no matter if they are assholes. They don't want to break the cycle.
It's really no different to being a bully. Fuck them and their pressuring ways.
Even if we are being responsible and reasonable they will find some excuse to fall back on for them bring right, getting US to listen or putting us down.
