Someone recently posted a poll/question asking if you're American. Why is it that so many people answering "no" or "Mexican" and what not, when they say they're living in the US?

If you've moved, that's one thing. I'm guessing most of you have lived in the US for a while and have citizenship. Being another ethnicity doesn't mean you're not American. Stop making Americans look so dumb! Some of you might even be the ones saying Obama is anti-America and whatever, yet you don't even know if you're American?!

That qualifies as the most ridiculous thing I saw all day. Americans who don't consider themselves American...because they're of a non-white ethnicity even though they live in the states. Goodness.

I was considering making this topic too. I think it needs to be said.

But as long as you are living in the US, then that makes you American, unless you aren't a citizen. The US isn't like other countries where one specific ethnicity of people comes from, the US is more of a place where all ethnicities go to.
