Try talking to the boy that you would like to patch things up with and see where you stand with him, ask him if he would like to go to the prom with you if he isn't already going with someone.

Going out and finding people is sometimes the best way to go about things like this, but if your parents won't let you then just wait until you are older, remember boys always come and go, you don't need one in your life to make you better.

Your friends are the people that will always be there, and you should cherish what you have right now, maybe if you stop searching someone will turn up.
