im gonna take a wild guess and say cocky guys with lots of confidence....they crack jokes, arent afraid to offend you, love to party, good looking (to a degree), and can be all-out assholes but some girls find that appealing.  some of these guys are actually nice guys though, but people generalize and they can come across as "douchebags" simply because they seem to out-alpha all the other guys in the room and putting them down.
