For those who live in the dorms, do you ever hear people having sex in their rooms from outside?  Like, walk down the hall and hear something strange? ?

Also, what are the best ways to indicate to your roomie that you're :"busy" at that moment? Like write someting or a dry-erase board??

i live with my parents, older brother and older sister. luckily i've never heard them have sex, however my sister assures me she has sex at least once a week, even when we're all home. ew.

best way is to get a lock on your door. lol. but if you're in dorms, that's not possible ey? so i'd say just get a 'do not disturb' sign, or something similar.

ugh i share an apartment with my best friend and she is rot of a slut so she is always fucking random guys all over the apartment...i just got use to it so i don't really mind...i just walk by (they don't even stop to cover themselves up or anything )

put something that you would normaly have right by the door like a sock or bag that way its more just a code for you 2 and your dorm mates all thinks its something more like telling them to pick up theyr cloths or go shoping for booze or something.  im glad my dorms are single person we just share a toilet and shower every 2 rooms but im military not colege

My ex used to put a phone book outside of their room. It was a clear signal, but not obvious enough that everyone down the hall knew it was their "sign".

Although, one afternoon I came back to the room with my boyfriend and the phone book was there, so we waited. And waited, and waited...

Then his roommate comes home and we ask "WTF?!" when he walks up the door. It turns out that someone had actually borrowed the phone book and returned it when no one was home. Whoops!

My roomie and I have a code. We write "Doing homework" on the dry erase board. It's perfect, because no one would ever guess what it means!

I've never heard anyone having sex. And I think you and roommate should make a plan so you both know and no one has to guess. The plan between my roommate and me is to put one of those "SHHH studying" signs on the door.That's also what my boyfriend and his roommate do.
