Ok to be blunt .. I was clean for 2 yrs and now am back as a heavy cocaine user .. I havn't touched it for a few days and am feeling furious , shitty , down , short tempered etc basically comes with the come down symptoms .. Now this is the difficult part am going to be djin soon and me being on it gives the best perfomance because i've got that energy and plus I got a place to sniff ... Now I have a ex gf who everyday I hope to get back with her and I want to show her that am no longer a addict and everything I do well most things I do is for her and I want to go clean and learn how to control my addiction and learn how to say no. Now I know it isnt easy going clean but i've done it before but I need to know how to re-inforce it. Lately i've been so distant with everyone and bottling things up but that emotional wall got broken and I broke down and I realise I don't want to be that same person. There's alot of shit happening to me at the moment and I don't handle most of it well. I have a gf at the moment but for the wrong reasons and am scared to breaking it off with her because i work with her and plus some other issues. And she does speed which doesn't help me in anyway apart from keeping me awake for a few days on the go. I've been to the phycologist before and got let down so decided to never get help from them and i've been on anti depressants etc etc and diagonsed with bi-polar but the meds made me extremely depressed and violent and low. Where do I start?

start small, go talk to someone about all of this, dont let yourself carry the burden of all of these emotions. youll feel loads better. go from there.

We're in the same boat, my friend. All I can say is: professional help. Go see a new phsychologist, you need one. You need to get the correct medication for your emotional dissorders first. You need the right type of medication that wont cause side effects (yes, it's possible) Being bipolar makes you want to do drugs. You get down, so you do something like coke, to make you happy. Then things just get worse, trust me, I'm bipolar too. So once your bipolar's out of the way, and you dont have mood swings, quitting drugs will be much easier. Then, talk to the psychologist about the drugs. Maybe even go to rehab? If you just need to quit on your own its good to have a therapist/psychologist to talk to. Then you'll have a clear mind and you can figure out what to do about the ex and the new girlfriend. Although I'm pretty sure the new girlfriend is no good, you need to stay away from people who do drugs if you want to stay clean yourself.

I understand your situation completely, it's not easy but like myself i think you need to talk to someone.

What meds have you been on? SSRI's (standard anti-depressants) don't work for people with bipolar in general and I've never heard them work for anyone really. Maybe try something like Lithium- it could change your life for the better.

Yeah, they are completely different classes of drugs. He was probably on something exclusively for depression and needs a mood-stabilizer or antipsychotic.
