Don't argue with them too much.  If they show that they won't understand you didn't do anything, then be glad they're not punishing you.

I used to have no self esteem, then I realized that everyone else pretty much sucked donkey balls.  They don't matter.  I realized that I can't trust them for shit, and I am my own best friend.

I've always been like that to my family too,
Always have been loyal to them, if there was something going on behind their backs, they were always the first to know about it (Just like the GodFather. XD)

If they were not gratefull for what I had done, then I didn't need to be gratefull for anything they have done.

Just change your attitude towards them.
And stop saying you have self steem.

The more you repeat that into your head, the worst it is.
