I think this kind of "disease" roots from the modern culture more than anything.  

How many people had eating disorders when TV and Radio wasn't present?

How many people have eating disorders in less developed nations?

Its a disorder not a disease and my auntie lives in a small village in france. Yet she has an eating disorder with no tvs or radios around.

also alot of them are starving to death. they don't feel they are fat they just dont have enough money or food or water to feed themselves.. retarded comment: totally just contradicted yourself there.

Also could have some traits of body dysmorphic disorder, I have very poor self-image but it probably is a symptom of depression not an actual disorder itself.
