my fiance told me that he's really depressed and he hates his life. he hates his job, he hates our house, he hates that we have no money, and he hates all of the bad decisions he's made in his life.
he told me that he feels like he's nothing. but he's not nothing. he's my everything. i love him with all my heart and soul and i would be lost without him.
i don't want him to be sad or depressed anymore. i don't want him to hate his life. i can't help feeling like it's partly my fault. because if i made more money, we woudn't be so broke all the time.
i feel so bad because he bought me my truck. and now we have that huge payment. and i just had to have this house... and now we both hate living here but we're stuck in the lease for another nine months. and i love him so much and i love being with him and living with him and i want everything to be as perfect as it was the first day we moved into our first apartment together... but eveything looks so bleak.
we can't even afford the wedding that we want. i know that we're going to end up having to get married in a courthouse. and there's nothing wrong with that... but i will be very disappointed. because i have such high expectations of everyone around me... and even higher expectations of myself.
it hurts so much to see him hating life as much as he does. how can i make him feel better?? i want to make his life perfect!!!

Unfortunetly, there is no quick way to fix this, and you cannot just make his life better. All you can truly do, is let him know that you love him, and listen to him, he needs to know that people love him and let him know that he is everything to you, let him know how much he means to you. The only other thing you can do, is let him know that his past decisions do not make him today, and that you guys will get out of this. Your jobs will gradually get better, and you will get more money. As for your high expectations, you may want to lower them or at least make sure he does not think he is not good enough to make your expectations. He needs to know that he is good enough for you. As for the money, maybe you can get some help from your families, or you can find a better job, just keep working through this. The most important thing is that he knows you are there for him, and that you love him, and he is everything to you. If you ever need to talk, you can always message me. i hope things work out for you.

You can ask him if he wishes to go back, but if you are having trouble with your finances, and he does not want to, then you cannot do anything like that, he has to want to.
