What you need to do is find out what your caloric needs are. (there are a bunch of calculators online). Once you know what your caloric needs are for the day ie: 2100 calories or whatever it tells you, you then need to watch what you eat and stay at that level. You gain weight because you eat an excess of calories, and lose weight when you eat slightly below the reccomended calories. If you go too far below though, your metabolism will shut down and begin to store the fat because your body thinks you are starving.
So find out what your caloric requirements are, and take it from there.
